Sen. John Glenn remains one of the Senate's wealthiest members, with holdings worth between $8 million and $15 million or more, according to the Ohio Democrat's financial report released Friday.

The report shows that Glenn made between $1,280,906 and $2,704,480 in income in 1987. His assets were valued at between $7,753,163 and $15,320,012 or more.Members of Congress are required to file yearly financial reports by May 15. Glenn requested and was granted an extension.

The reports are only guideposts to actual wealth because senators are required to list only approximate figures.

Glenn's largest holdings include interest in Florida hotels. His income included his $89,900 Senate salary, rent, dividends and capital gains from the sale of stock. He also listed a Marine Corps pension of $16,584.
