Bo Jackson could be back on the Kansas City Royals' active roster by this weekend and pitcher Ted Power may rejoin it by Monday, pending upcoming tests of their physical condition.

Jackson, who suffered a severely torn left hamstring against the Cleveland Indians on May 31, was originally not expected to be back in the lineup until mid-July. But tests this week show he has progressed much more quickly than anyone expected.

Power, suffering from a sore right elbow after two starts in early June, was placed on the 15-day disabled list June 18. He is eligible to come off the list Monday.
