Joy Livingood, an LDS Business College student, recently received Lambda Delta Sigma's Woman of Honor Award.

A daughter of Jay and Norma Livingood, Bountiful, she was the only recipient from the Utah-Wyoming area of the award, which honors young women who "exemplify ideals of spirituality, sisterhood, scholarship, support and service."Livingood won the 1986 State Vocational Excellence Award in Business. The recipient of a full scholarship at LDS Business College, she is studying personnel management and plans to graduate next spring. She is working toward certification as an optician.

She is president of Lambda Delta Sigma's Kappa Omega Chapter, which was presented the national organization's Ideal Award for having excelled among 69 chapters in the ideal of sisterhood.

The chapter focuses on service that includes craft projects with children at Shriners Hospital, scholarship anbd other activities within the group and with those serving LDS missions, tutoring and speakers' programs.
