A man and a woman were found dead Wednesday after the four-wheel-drive vehicle they were in fell some 300 feet off a cliff in Provo Canyon.

The names of the victims, an 18-year-old male and a 23-year-old female, were not released pending notification of relatives.According to a report of the Utah County sheriff's office, the pair were on a dirt road above the Olmstead power plant at the canyon mouth when their vehicle left the road and rolled down an embankment and off a 300-foot cliff.

Authorities said the pair had been reported missing Tuesday night, when the accident is believed to have occurred. "The victims were not discovered until Wednesday afternoon.
