Letter to the editor

I want to raise a voice of warning about socialism. The goal of socialism is to remove one’s private property through force and transfer it to someone else — one baby step at a time — under the guise of “the public welfare." It never benefits everyone, and benefits those in power the most.

Public services such as police and fire departments are not examples of socialism because they benefit everyone. These good folks are charged to protect (not take) one’s private property, so let’s not throw them under the socialists’ bus.

Contrary to previous letters, there is no “right kind” of socialism. Let’s not allow anyone to put sheep’s clothing on this wolf.
