The BYU softball team clinched its sixth straight West Coast Conference title on Friday afternoon. It is the 11th straight conference title for BYU over four different conferences.

SALT LAKE CITY — BYU's reward for winning the WCC softball tournament is a trip to Stillwater, Oklahoma.

The Cougars will first face host Oklahoma State and join Arkansas and Tulsa in the Stillwater Regional in their 15th straight NCAA Tournament appearance.

BYU, fresh off of its sixth consecutive WCC championship, and No. 13 OSU (39-14) will play on Thursday. The Cougars finished the season with a 29-24 record (12-3 in conference play) and have now been part of 11 conference championships in a row in four different leagues.

Arkansas (38-18) and Tulsa (35-18) match up in the other first-round game.

The schedule and broadcast plans have not yet been announced.

The top teams from the 16 regional sites move on to the NCAA Super Regionals held May 23-26 on eight campus sites. Winners of those best-of-three series advance to the NCAA Women’s College World Series.
