"The trailer was heavily loaded with belongings along with a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Due to the speed and load configuration, the truck began to sway, the driver lost control and the vehicle ran off the road, first to the right and then into the median," the UHP said.

The driver suffered fatal head and neck injuries, troopers said.

A female passenger in the front seat suffered injuries that were not life-threatening and was taken to Central Valley Medical Center, the UHP said.

The man and woman were both wearing seat belts, according to troopers.
