Black was killed in the crash. The other vehicle hit was a semi pulling two trailers owned by Federal Express. The driver of the other vehicle was treated for injuries not considered to be life-threatening and his passenger was not injured, the UHP stated.

In addition to helping those injured, crews also had to clean up a large number of packages that were scattered all over the road due to the FedEx trailer being ripped open.

The crash caused about 5 miles of backup in both directions while the road was closed for approximately five hours, the UHP stated.
