To celebrate Gal Gadot's 34th birthday, “Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins tweeted this photo of Gadot from the upcoming sequel “Wonder Woman 1984.”

SALT LAKE CITY — Gal Gadot turned 34 years old today.

To celebrate, “Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins tweeted a photo of Gadot from the upcoming sequel “Wonder Woman 1984.”

“Happy Birthday to my most spectacular, incredible, amazing, beautiful, loving, powerful, hilarious and awe-inspiring friend and partner,” Jenkins tweeted. “I love you more than words can say.”

The photo gives fans the first glimpse at Gadot’s Diana from the “Wonder Woman” sequel. It’s also a nice throwback to a few original Wonder Woman looks.

Fans have pointed out how Gadot’s look is really similar to a look the original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter once rocked.

Carter played Wonder Woman between 1975 and 1979. She’s also rumored to have a role in “Wonder Woman 1984,” according to IMDb.

The Hollywood Reporter noted that the photograph Jenkins tweeted harkens back to Wonder Woman’s look in the controversial late 1960s comics when Diana lost all of her powers and became a martial artist after Steve Trevor’s murder.

That prompts an interesting question about plot points: will we see a Diana void of her power in the next film? Only time will tell.

“Wonder Woman 1984” is scheduled to premiere worldwide on June 5, 2020.
