SALT LAKE CITY — A Nevada teenager has gone viral for asking the wrong girl to prom.

Teenagers Austin Mousa and Johnny Pashales had a plan — drive to a girl’s house with a box of doughnuts. From there, Austin would ask the girl, Hannah Masluk, to prom. And Johnny would capture the entire moment on camera, according to the Reno Gazette Journal.

But when they got to the neighborhood, Austin forgot which of the houses was Hannah’s home. Johnny, confidently, said he knew which house it was.

Austin then knocked on the door. A young girl answered. He asked her to prom.

But it wasn’t Hannah standing there. It was another girl.

"Johnny," Austin said, "you picked the wrong house."

The two boys apologized and left the property.

The video, which you can watch below, has since gone viral. It has been viewed more than 150,000 times on Twitter and 2.5 million times across multiple social media platforms, USA Today reports.

Of course, the story has a happy ending. The boys eventually found the right door for Hannah Masluk and asked her to prom.

Austin and Hannah attended prom together on April 6.

"This story is going to be told within our families for years or generations," said Allison Masluk, Hannah's mother, according to USA Today. "The best part about it is it's all on video. You always hear the story about your parents growing up or whatever – but we have it on video."

"It was a proud mom moment," said Christine Mousa, Austin's mother. "I must have missed Parenting 101."
