OGDEN — Two weeks, two Big Sky records and two Athlete of the Week honors. Weber State’s Tawnie Moore was named the Big Sky Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for the second straight week after once again posting a conference record.Comment on this story
Moore improved her Big Sky record time and won the title in the women’s 100-meter hurdles at the BYU Robison Invitational Saturday in Provo. She posted a time of 13.24 to win the event, the fastest time in conference history.
The previous week, she ran a time of 13.25 to set the conference record at the Bryan Clay Invitational in California.
This is her third Big Sky Athlete of the Week honor this season.
Moore, a native of Marriott-Slaterville, Utah, ranks 19th in the west region in the event and 35th in the nation.
WSU hosts the Weber State Twilight Meet this week, the final meet before the Big Sky Championships May 8-11 in Missoula, Montana.
