Utah Valley junior Nick St. Clair tees off on the 198-yard par-3 13th hole at Oakbrook Golf Club on Monday in the final round of the WAC Men's Golf Championship.

LAKEWOOD, Wash. — The Utah Valley men's golf team shot an 18-over-par 302 on Monday in the final round of the WAC Men's Golf Championship to finish sixth with a three-round score of 42-over-par 894 (286-306-302).

UVU finished sixth ahead of Chicago State (+101) in seventh. Kansas City won the team title with a three-round score of 1-over-par 853 (290-278-285). Grand Canyon placed second (+5), followed by Seattle U (+16), UT Rio Grande Valley (+23), New Mexico State (+42) and Utah Valley (+42).

Two UVU golfers finished in the top 12 with Jake Bryson placing 11th and Jake Godfrey finishing in a tie for 12th. Bryson carded a final-round score of 5-over-par 76 to finish 11th with a three-round score of 4-over-par 217 (69-72-76). Godfrey shot a 2-over-par 73 in the final round to tie for 12th at 5-over-par 218 (71-74-73). The senior golfer opened his round with a pair of birdies and then eagled the par-5 14th hole. He also had nine pars.

Gabe Lysen recorded a 3-over-par 74 in the final round on Monday as he finished 23rd with a three-round score of 10-over-par 223 (69=80-74). Zane Loveland shot an 8-over-par 79 in the final round and finished in a tie for 35th at 23-over-par 236 (77-80-79). Nick St. Clair rounded out the scoring with a 12-over-par 83 on Monday as he finished in a tie for 37th at 30-over-par 243 (80-80-83).

Grand Canyon's Jake Chanen took home medalist honors after carding a three-day score of 3-under-par 210 (72-67-71).

The tournament concludes the 2018-19 season for the Wolverines. UVU will be back on the course in the fall of 2019.
