SALT LAKE CITY — A man from Hong Kong was reportedly attacked after spoiling “Avengers: Endgame” while at a movie theater.

Multiple reports said the incident happened at Hong Kong’s Causeway theater. The man was reportedly beaten up after leaving the film and sharing spoilers with those waiting in line.

According to Kotaku, some have disputed the reports, saying that there wasn’t any attack. But others told Asia One that they heard a commotion outside the theater.

The attacked man is only one example of odd stories coming out of the film’s release.

A woman in China was reportedly so overwhelmed while watching “Avengers: Endgame” that she began sobbing uncontrollably and left the theater because she was hyperventilating, according to the New York Daily News.

The woman struggled to breathe during the film and was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was given oxygen in order to regulate breathing, the Daily News report.

The doctor who worked with the woman told The News International the woman would be fine.

“Avengers: Endgame” made an estimated $1.2 billion at the worldwide box office during opening weekend, CNN reports. It is the only movie in film history to hit the $1 billion mark for its debut.

The film’s prequel “Avengers: Infinity War” set the previous record of $640 million last year.
