Mark Hamill tweeted this edited fan photo of the original "Star Wars" trio Friday and upset lots of fans.

SALT LAKE CITY — Mark Hamill appears to be in a reminiscent mood this week.

The actor tweeted a fanmade image Thursday of Luke Skywalker (Hamill), Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher), Han (Harrison Ford) and Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Willaims) reunited in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon.

The corner of the image has the new “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” logo, but instead of the title in the logo, it says “What Should Have Been.”

Hamill posted the image with the simple caption “#MissedOpportunities,” seeming to comment on what could have or should have happened in the newer “Star Wars” films.

Star Wars fans had strong things to say about the tweet.

For many, Hamill’s tweet feels like a dig at the current “Star Wars” cast that undermines their work in the films.

Others are celebrating the tweet, expressing their desire that the newer “Star Wars” films would have focused on the original trio.

Mark Hamill will return for “The Rise of Skywalker” on Dec. 20.
