ST. GEORGE — For the second time this month, Dixie State sophomore Cambrie Hazel has earned Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week honors, the league announced Tuesday.

Hazel posted a 2-0 record in the Trailblazers’ four-game series against New Mexico Highlands over the weekend with two dominant performances in the pitcher’s circle. She recorded a 0.55 ERA and struck out 23 NMHU batters in 12.2 innings pitched. Additionally, Hazel allowed just one run and limited the Cowgirls to a .116 batting average. Hazel currently leads the RMAC and ranks 12th nationally with 173 strikeouts.

The award marks Hazel’s second RMAC Pitcher of the Week honor of the season after garnering the award on April 2.

The Trailblazers travels to Durango, Colorado, this weekend for a four-game series at Fort Lewis to wrap up the regular season.
