SALT LAKE CITY — Chip and Joanna Gaines made Time’s “100 Most Influential People” list, which was revealed on Wednesday.

The “Fixer Upper” couple were named among 16 others in the “artists” category, which included big names such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (“Tooth Fairy”), Mahershala Ali (“Greenbook”), Emilia Clarke (“Game of Thrones”) and Brie Larson (“Captain Marvel”).

For the list, each celebrity’s entry was written by another notable name. For the Gaineses, former NFL star Tim Tebow — who, like the Gaineses, is a Christian celebrity — wrote the dedication to Chip and Joanna Gaines.

“Joanna and Chip Gaines are two incredible people with incredible hearts. Through remarkably hard work, Jo and Chip have created a platform to be able to impact lives with extreme generosity,” Tebow wrote.

Tebow wrote that he helped the couple build an accessible home for a family in the past on “Fixer Upper.” He wrote that example showed him how much power the Gaineses have to help people.

“They are also grounded in a strong faith, which keeps them focused on what truly matters in life. People matter. Loving people matters. And Jo and Chip are amazing at loving people,” he wrote.

The Gaineses ended their run on “Fixer Upper” last year. They announced earlier this month that they would start their own cable network channel, which I wrote about for the Deseret News.
