Palpatine

Arguably the biggest subject of conversation surrounding “The Rise of Skywalker” trailer is Emperor Palpatine.

At minute marker 1:46 in the trailer, Palpatine’s cackling laugh can be heard, this after we hear Luke Skywalker say, “No one’s ever really gone” and see what looks a heck of a lot like the Death Star.

James Dyer, a writer for Empire Magazine, tweeted today that he asked J.J. Abrams about Palpatine and Abrams confirmed that Palpatine will return in “The Rise of Skywalker.”
