Real Salt Lake forward Jefferson Savarino (7) and FC Dallas midfielder Ryan Hollingshead (12) battle for the ball in Sandy on Saturday, March 30, 2019.

SEATTLE — On Saturday evening, the Seattle Sounders played host to Real Salt Lake. In the 18th minute, the Sounders struck first off the foot of Nicolás Lodeiro. Even with 13 shots, the Claret and Cobalt could not find the back of the net in a 1-0 defeat.

Nick Rimando (6) — Rimando's two lovely saves got overshadowed by the one that got past him. Still, in the man's last Major League Soccer season, Rimando has kept the team in matches.

Aaron Herrera (6) — The backline was much steadier than in week's pas and so was Herrera. He marked up well and didn't make a catastrophic error.

Marcelo Silva (6.5) — Silva received a yellow in the 83rd minute, but coach Mike Petke previously said, "I want my guys to stand up for themselves." With that mind, Silva is not making it easy on opponents, even if a card fits into the equation.

Nedum Onuoha (6.5) — Better centerback play shows that the connection between Silva and Onuoha is working better. This season, when the two have paired up, RSL has only conceded 8 goals in 4 games compared to 6 goals in 2 games when they both don't play together.

Brooks Lennon (7) — With a shot and a chance created, Lennon is doing enough in the defensive third for Petke to move him up into the attacking third in specific instances. It is only a matter of time until Lennon's attacking creativity will reap benefits for RSL.

Everton Luiz (7) — Even though Everton and the Real midfield were out-possessd by Seattle 56% to 44%, they still got quality looks at goal. Everton's accurate passing was a part of the success.

Kyle Beckerman (6.5) — The captain got involved in the offensive push by attempting two shots. With Everton manning the midfield as well, Beckerman is getting more chances letting some shots rip.

Jefferson Savarino (7.5) — The best RSL goal opportunity was from Savarino on this night. Unfortunately, his shot ricocheted off the near post, bouncing harmlessly away.

Albert Rusnák (7) — Rusnák had three shots but nothing to show for it. When Rusnák doesn't score, Real's offense stalls.

Corey Baird (5.5) — Baird moved out of the No. 9 spot, in place of Sam Johnson. The young player got two shots off but nothing more.

Sam Johnson (5.5) — Starting Sam Johnson gave RSL fans the opportunity to see what the Liberian attacker could do with more minutes. One of his two shots had a serious chance, but he knocked it wide.

Sebastian Saucedo (6) — Bofo subbed in for Sam Johnson in the 69th minute. He consistently moved the ball around accurately to teammates, looking for others to strike the tying goal.

Tate Schmitt (N/A) — In the 85th minute, Schmitt entered the match for Corey Baird.

Luis Arriaga (N/A) — Arriaga substituted in for Silva in the 87th minute.
