Senior Madison Ward-Sessions

CORVALLIS, Ore. —Utah State's three gymnasts had solid outings Friday at the NCAA regional championships hosted by Oregon State at Gill Coliseum.

The three Aggies — seniors Madison Ward-Sessions, junior MaKayla Bullitt and sophomore Autumn DeHarde — officially closed out the 2019 campaign.

Ward-Sessions was the Aggies' top finisher on the evening. The native of Rexburg, Idaho, stole the show on floor, recording a 9.925 to place second on the event, as she also recorded the same score in last season's regionals in Minneapolis, and remains first all-time in school history for an NCAA regional championships meet. She also tied for 21st on vault with a 9.675, tied for 19th on bars with a 9.725 and took 28th on beam with a 9.100. In the all-around Ward-Sessions placed fifth with an overall score of 38.435.

In her only event of the day, Bullitt finished 24th with a bars score of 9.650.

DeHarde competed in two events as she tied for seventh on floor with a 9.875 and tied for 12th on beam with a 9.850.

As far as the team results, No. 3 Florida placed first with a 197.500 and No. 15 Oregon State took second with a 197.125. Both the Gators and Beavers advanced to the NCAA Championships, which will be held in Fort Worth, Texas, on April 19-20.
