LOGAN — Registration for the Cache Valley Soccer Academy's four summer camps is now open.

Under the direction of Utah State head women's soccer coach Heather Cairns, the Cache Valley Soccer Academy camps are designed to help players improve skills and tactics and gain confidence on and off the field. All camps will be instructed by the Utah State soccer staff, with help from current members of the USU team.

The 2019 camp slate will start with the Goalkeeping Academy, which will be held on Mondays, 5:30-6:30 p.m., beginning June 3, and running through the remainder of the month. The Goalkeeping Academy is open to girls and boys in eighth to 12th grades, and registration is $80 for the full session.

Each session will include focused technical and tactical training including shot-stopping, footwork, ball handling, dealing with crosses, 1v1 situations and positioning and angle play.
