“Avengers: Endgame” is still about two weeks away. But Marvel Comics has released a new major crossover series event called “The War of the Realms."

SALT LAKE CITY — “Avengers: Endgame” is still over two weeks away, but Marvel Comics has released a new major crossover series event called “The War of the Realms” for comic book readers who may want more superheroes in their life.

  • Marvel has launched a new six-issue event called “The War of the Realms,” which focuses on the evil Malekith, the King of the Dark Elves, looking to destroy the realm of Midgard, which includes the planet Earth.
  • “War of the Realms” will include the Avengers, X-Men, Daredevil, Blade and Venom teaming up to take on the evil Malekith, who has already conquered nine of the 10 realms.

Details: The event’s first issue dropped on April 3. And (spoilers) the first issue of “War of the Realms” includes two major deaths and a surprising twist for Daredevil.
