FARMINGTON — An Ogden man is accused of engaging in sexually explicit conversations with an 11-year-old girl, according to court documents.
Brycen Gibbon Hall, 20, was charged Thursday in 2nd District Court with enticing a minor and obstructing justice, both second-degree felonies.
The investigation began when concerned friends of an 11-year-old girl spoke up, according to the charges.
"Students from a Davis County elementary school informed their assistant principal that child ... made some concerning statements about her relationship with an older male," the charges state.
The girl was initially "reluctant to disclose the details of her relationship" with Hall, according to the charges, but conceded that he "texted her to request sexual acts and inappropriate photographs of her," according to charging documents.2 comments on this story
Investigators then went through the text messages on the girl's phone.
In one conversation, "(Hall) told (the girl) that she will not get pregnant because he has condoms," the charges state.
Detectives also looked at Hall's phone but discovered he "had recently deleted most of the contents off of his phone," the charges state.
Hall told investigators he and the girl "had sexual intercourse," according to charging documents.
It was not immediately known Thursday if additional charges were pending.
