SALT LAKE CITY — The Killers have Carolina on their mind.

The band performed James Taylor’s “Carolina In My Mind” on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Tuesday night. Kimmel’s show was being shown from Las Vegas all week.

The Killers are notably from Las Vegas and tend to reference Sin City in a lot of their music. Their sophomore album, “Sam’s Town,” is a reference to a Las Vegas hotel. And the 2012 album “Battle Born” is a reference to the Nevada state motto.

The Killers have a connection to Taylor, according to Uproxx. The ban previously covered “Carolina In My Mind” back in 2013 during a show at Raleigh, North Carolina.

The Killers also named one of their tour buses “James Taylor,” Uproxx reports.
