Engel batted .545 (6-for-11) in the four-game series vs. the ThunderWolves with one double, team highs of two home runs, six walks and 11 RBIs, and seven runs scored in the Trailblazers series split. The junior reached base safely and had at least two RBIs and one run scored in all four games, highlighted by a career-high five-RBI day with a double and his team-leading 12th home run of the season in the series finale on Sunday. Engel pounded out a career-high four hits in Sunday’s finale, going 4-for-5 overall with two runs scored.
Engel and the Trailblazers (22-8/12-4 RMAC) open an eight-game RMAC road swing with a four-game series at Colorado School of Mines this weekend in Golden.
