At a press conference outside of the Salt Lake City mayor's office on Thursday, the theme and logo for the upcoming 68th United Nations Civil Society Conference, which will be held in Salt Lake City in August, was unveiled. During the event, Salt Lake Mayor Jackie Biskupski revealed the event logo emphasizing the theme “Building Inclusive and Sustainable Communities.” Dr. Baldomero Lago, chief international officer for Utah Valley University and an official representative of the United Nations, said Thursday that “it is an extraordinary milestone for Utah to be chosen to host the first U.N. Civil Society Conference held outside of New York.”
