Another year, another unique jersey: Real Salt Lake revealed a new secondary kit Friday.
The jersey is white with red accents, including a non-uniform pattern of red lines across the front, with some subtle gray non-uniform lines. There are also three red stripes along the top of the shoulder and on the side of the shorts.
One of the more striking differences, though, is the embroidered fully red RSL badge, a never-before-used look for the signature team logo, over the left breast.1 comment on this story
Other touches include a silver star above the badge and a red Beehive logo with the numerals 05 near the front bottom left corner of the jersey, a reference to 2005, which was the club's first year in existence.
The collar and the bottom of both sleeves contain a large red stripe outlined with a smaller blue stripe.
The back of the jersey is all white with blue numerals and letters. A patch that reads “As One” with crossing swords in between adorns the back of the jersey, right above the player’s name.
"The best white jersey we've had since I've been here, and I really like the splash of red color on the white," RSL star midfielder Albert Rusnák said in a team release.
