With school back in session Thursday, Bingham standout defensive players Simote Pepa and Junior Tafuna both signed to play for the Utes.

The 6-foot-3, 330-pound Pepa, a defensive lineman, is a former Class 6A MVP and racked up 11 career sacks and 63 total tackles as a senior for the Miners.

Tafuna, a 6-foot-3, 235-pound linebacker, was also a beast on defense for Bingham en route to earning second-team all-state honors.

As was reported in the Deseret News, the Utes added seven other players Wednesday after getting commitments from 12 recruits in December.
