Investigators have identified Xavier Soto, 18, as a suspect in the case, according to police. As of Wednesday afternoon he had not been arrested and his whereabouts were unknown, police stated.
Police say the two men were together with a larger group in the area where Parkinson was found, when the men had an undisclosed disagreement. Others in the group were able to identify Soto to detectives. Investigators have not publicly stated what caused Parkinson's injuries.
Police are asking for anyone who has information on Soto, or who was driving through the area of Monroe Boulevard on Saturday night and may have seen something, to call them at 801-629-8029.
