SOLITUDE – Canada’s Marielle Thompson earned the Ski Cross World Championship at Solitude Saturday afternoon.

Switzerland’s Fanny Smith earned silver, while France’s Alizee Baron was third.

The top American finisher was Whitney Gardner, who earned 22nd place.

In the men’s competition, France’s Francois Place earned the World Championship, beating Canada’s Brady Leman. Leman's teammate Kevin Drury claimed bronze.

Tyler Wallasch was the top American finisher at 16th place.
