Brigham Young Cougars head coach Kalani Sitake celebrates with players after their win over the Western Michigan Broncos in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl at Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018.

BYU will be tested early in its 2019 football schedule, which the school announced Wednesday.

The Cougars' schedule next season features four straight Power 5 teams to start the year and three games against teams that finished the 2018 season in the top 25.

The Cougars open the season with a home matchup against in-state rival Utah on Aug. 29, followed by a road game at Tennessee on Sept. 7 in the first game between the two schools.

Up next is a pair of home games against Pac-12 schools, USC on Sept. 14 and Washington on Sept. 21.

The Huskies finished last year ranked No. 13 in both the Associated Press and Coaches polls. Other ranked teams on BYU’s schedule include at Utah State (No. 21 AP, No. 22 Coaches) on Nov. 2 and home against Boise State (No. 23 AP, No. 24 Coaches) on Oct. 19.
