The rivalry between BYU and the University of Utah has changed significantly since the two schools are no longer in the same conference.

However, a solution to continued play that has not been discussed, but should be considered, is that each of the major Utah schools, the Y, the U. and USU, play basketball against each other every year, rotating the location between the schools, and the football games involving the U. should be on an every other year basis with rotating locations so that the U. plays a major in-state rival every year and USU is included in the competition.

Such a schedule would preserve competition between major Utah schools, but leaves the U. free to schedule other schools.
