FARMINGTON — The city has implemented a tree-lined streets program that allows residents to pay 50 percent of the cost of a tree for their park strips.

The city will purchase a limited number of species-specific trees at a bulk discount. Through March 1, trees may be purchased at the Parks and Recreation office, 720 W. Clark Lane. Owners can then pick up their tree in the spring and plant it.
