What we know: Parker is back on Earth, having apparently survived being dissolved by Thanos. While vacationing with friends, Parker is confronted with a familiar face and a new foe.

The trailer reveals:

  • A new Spider-Man suit.
  • Massive elemental monsters wreaking havoc in Venice.
  • The debut of villain Mysterio played by Jake Gyllenhaal.
  • The return of Nick Fury.
  • A budding romance between Parker and MJ and a possible spark between Aunt May and Happy Hogan, Tony Stark’s chauffeur.

Fresh on the heels of the Golden Globe winner “Into the Spiderverse,” “Far From Home” will be a nice bookend to what is shaping up to be the year of the Spider-Man.
