What happened: The Duchess of Cambridge will have a low-key day as her husband, Prince William, “attends an important engagement,” Page Six reports.
- Though unconfirmed, her plans might include spending time with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
- She will probably spend the day at Kensington Palace. She will likely pick the children up from school later in the day.

How people celebrated: The royal family posted on Instagram about Middleton, according to People magazine.
“Happy Birthday to HRH The Duchess of Cambridge!” read the post’s caption. “The Duchess undertakes royal duties in support of The Queen, both in the UK and overseas — and devotes her time to supporting charitable causes and organisations, several of which are centered around providing children with the best possible start in life.”
Clarence House, the residence of Prince Charles and Camilla, also honored Middleton.
