"The wall," as it is being so popularly put these days, is the wedge issue between the current presidency and his opponents on the far left.

Although most people agree on almost everything about immigration and security, the political parties are making it seem as though we are worlds apart. The American people think that we should have a strong border to stop criminals from coming into the United States. They think that we shouldn't have illegal immigrants receiving benefits that cost the American taxpayers billions annually. The only thing stopping a border barrier from being built is its name: "the wall."

If America can simply get past the name, then the world will continue to spin. The budget will get passed, the barrier will be built and life will be safer for United States citizens. The only problem for getting the bill passed is politics. To simply put money and ego aside is what the citizens need and deserve.
