MURRAY — Residents who would like to plant a tree in their parking strip can purchase one for $100 through Murray Power’s Forestry Division.

Customers can choose from four species — Kwanzan cherry, swamp white oak, frontier elm and ivory silk Japanese tree lilac — Feb. 1 through March 29.

Trees must be purchased in person from Murray City Power, 153 W. 4800 South. The offices are open Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The $100 fee includes planting and future trimming/maintenance.
