LINDON — Applications are now being taken to fill the remaining one-year term of a at-large vacancy on the City Council due to the resignation of Daril Magleby.

Those interested in being appointed to fill the vacancy until the first Monday in January 2020 must be at least 18 years of age, a United States citizen and a registered voter of Lindon, and they must have resided with the city for at least 12 consecutive months and not be a convicted felon.

Applications, which can be found on the city’s website at lindoncity.org must be submitted and signed in the presence of the Lindon city recorder no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 7.

Applicants will then be interviewed by the mayor and City Council in a regularly scheduled City Council meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Lindon City Center, 100 N. State. The mayor and council will then select an applicant to fill the vacancy.
