On Tuesday, a 44-year-old woman who lives near 7300 South and 100 West heard a noise in her house. When she went to investigate, she found a man inside her house wearing a black hoodie and a mask that covered most of his face except for his eyes, said Unified Police Sgt. Melody Gray.

The man, who was armed with a knife and spoke only Spanish, demanded the keys to the Corvette parked in the driveway, Gray said. The woman repeatedly told the man she did not have them.

The man then tied the woman's hands behind her back, took other items in the house, and left, Gray said.

The woman told investigators she did not recognize the man. It was not known Thursday if the victims were picked at random. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police at 801-743-7000.
