I applaud Utah's effort to reduce accidents caused by drunken driving. I truly do think the new DUI bill is a very important step toward making our roads much safer. However, I believe there’s one element that I think should also be addressed. Based on some complaints people are making about the new bill, some people have said that cellphone usage while driving is an even bigger concern. So why not add a more strict policy on cellphone usage while driving to the new DUI bill?

Kill two birds with one stone, if you will. That will help teach alcohol users and cellphone users to be more responsible while on the road, reducing the number of people risking their lives and endangering those around them.
