SPRINGVILLE — The city’s Recreation Department has announced the Community Pool will close its doors to the public after Saturday April 14.

The pool will be used exclusively for staff trainings until the new Clyde Recreation Center opens.

The new $18 million facility is being built directly behind Meadow Brook Elementary, 748 S. 950 West. It will feature multiple pools, including a 10-lane multiuse pool, spa, recreational pool with a current channel, toddler pool, and two slides that will drop swimmers into a "splash down" pool.

The city expects to open the facility to the public at the end of May.
