PROVO — Officials at Utah Lake State Park, which is closed while the marina is being dredged, are reminding members of the public the closure includes fishing from the banks of the Provo River within the park’s boundaries.

Closed signs will soon be posted along the exposed riverbank below the high water mark of the Provo River within the park’s boundaries, officials said. Those who access these closed areas may be issued citations for trespassing.

Up to 3 feet of soil and rock is being removed to deepen the boat harbor, and work on the $1.3 million project should be complete by May 2018.
