An American flag flies at half-staff in Sat Lake City on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, in honor of the 17 people who were killed in a shooting Wednesday at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. President Donald Trump issued a directive to lower U.S. flags to half-staff at all federal facilities in honor of the victims through Monday. Per the directive, Utah Gov. Gary Herbert ordered the U.S. and Utah flags be flown at half-staff at all facilities for the same duration.
