OREM — It is often said that police don't have to go looking for criminals, but through some curious twist of fate, they wind up on their doorstep.

That is what happened, literally, to Orem police officers who said a man on Saturday consumed a few too many bottles of vodka and wound up on the doorstep of the Orem Police Department.

Frustrated the doors were locked, the man used an empty bottle of vodka as a makeshift key to enter the building, the Orem Police Department wrote in a Facebook post.

Police found him in the middle of the lobby. Supposing he was looking for a quiet place of meditation and a "zen" zone.

"We ended up finding him a super quiet, super zen place," the post said, indicating them man had been booked into jail.
