Westminster College student Nick Charles competes in the library book slalom during the Griffin Games at the college's campus in Salt Lake City on Friday. The Griffin Games, which included a fill-the-pelican-bill cornhole toss and frost-a-medal cookie event, were held to celebrate the college's 18 U.S. ski and snowboard students competing on the world stage in Pyeongchang, South Korea. In addition, the college hosted a campus viewing party for Friday's opening ceremonies. According to the school, 14 Westminster students competed in the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver and one earned a bronze medal. During the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, 23 students competed and two earned gold, one earned silver and one earned bronze.
