SALT LAKE CITY — City Creek Canyon will be closed to the public from 10 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 12, through 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13, as construction crews set a commercial crane in place for a construction project at the city’s water treatment plant.

A routine inspection of the plant late last year determined there was structural damage to the roof and walls of a building, putting employee safety at risk.

According to an earlier press statement from the city, the demolition and construction process at the facility 3 miles up the canyon will run through late May and two to three full closures of the canyon may occur.
