During the event, hosted by the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and the Aerospace States Association, legislators and industry experts from Harris, Albany International, Janicki Industries, Hill Air Force Base, Orbital ATK and MSC Aerospace discussed challenges and opportunities to help strengthen the industry and create more jobs. According to the organizers, the aerospace and defense industry employs more than 33,000 people in the state, and includes a diverse range of companies, products and systems for commercial and military applications.
