SOUTH SALT LAKE — Salt Lake County Animal Services, 511 W. 3900 South, and its nonprofit partner Utah FACES are hoping to prevent unwanted litters of kittens this spring with Free Feline Fix events on the first Thursday of each month.

The first 40 cats in the door between 7:30 a.m. 9 a.m. are eligible to be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped for free. Cats must be brought to the facility in a carrier or box.

All cats will need to be licensed at the time of service. The fee is $15 fee for those who live in animal service’s jurisdiction and $50 for those who don’t. Cities and townships in the jurisdiction include Bluffdale, Herriman, Holladay, Midvale, Millcreek, Salt Lake City, Copperton, Emmigration Canyon, Kearns, Magna and White City.
