Three Utah cities were the top three American cities with the largest concentration of people with ancestors from England, according toa new study from Bloomberg.

The study identified which cities have the highest concentration of descendants from different foreign countries and regions.

Provo (29 percent), Logan (28 percent) and St. George (28 percent) had the highest populations of English descendants in the country, according to Bloomberg.

The study did not mention the reason for a high concentration of English people in Utah. However, census data from 2010 similarly found England has strong ties to Utah. This dates back to the 19th century when Mormon converts emigrated from the U.K. to Salt Lake City, according to The Business Journals.
