The boy was found dead at the scene. He and two other teenagers were climbing on the roof near 4500 South and 300 West in Murray about 9 p.m. Monday, Murray Police Sgt. Marvin Barlow said.

He said the death was "heartbreaking."

The building the teens were on was not under construction, a spokesman for Murray police said. Police were investigating why the three were there. Barlow said officers determined through an initial investigation that they did not have permission to be on the fenced-in property.

The name of the boy killed in the fall was not immediately released as police sought to notify his family.

No other details were available.
