I write regarding the Logan School District trying to sell its art. It seems to me that everyone is missing some points in this debate.

This art is a snapshot into the past as well as a beautiful example of artistic creation. The artists are long ago dead, so the work is irreplaceable. It's just the kind of thing our children should be exposed to. It's part of their education. Let's bring the art museum to the children, not put them in buses to see what at one time belonged to them.

It is the Legislature's job to fund education. Utah has the lowest per-pupil spending in the 50 states. Have we sunk so low we must sell our heritage to raise a few dollars?
